l Dong Hwa University is located in unpolluted Hualien County in Eastern Taiwan. Features tranquil and spacious learning environment, the campus is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
In addition to its devotion to the higher education teaching, learning, and research, Dong Hwa carries the responsibility of developing Eastern Taiwan. There are eight colleges in the university, including the College of Indigenous Studies, the College of Environmental Studies, the College of Science and Engineering, the College of Management, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Hua-Shih College of Education, the College of Arts, and the College of Marine Sciences.
The Chinese Language Center is situated on campus. The Center provides language programs operated by experienced Chinese instructors through intensive Chinese training and a wide range of outdoor activities.

New Student Registration Fee


Required of first-time registered students only. Not required of re-enrolling students.

Late Registration Fee


Required of students who register after the New Student Registration Days.

Mandatory Accidental Insurance Fee


Demanded by the Ministry of Education, it is compulsory for foreign students to be enrolled in a mandatory accidental insurance plan. The fee is waived for students who present a proof of coverage under other accidental insurance plans.

The exact amounts depend on the textbooks used in each class.
